DESCRIPTION:Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida is excited to host the 2024 Gumbo Ya-Ya Cookoff at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola on Saturday\, April 20th. Amateur and professional teams will compete for bragging rights for the best Gumbo in Pensacola. As part of the rules\, the three-person teams have to make gumbo from scratch. Judges will then have to make the very difficult decision on which teams will win various categories. Each individual gumbo will be judged on taste\, smell\, color\, and consistency. Trophies will be awarded to the top three winners. Judging and public tasting begins at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 online before the event\; $20 at the door on the day of the event.
