Early Registration Begins for
9th Annual Navy Federal 5K in Pensacola

Pensacola, Fla. (January 30, 2018) – On Saturday, April 7, downtown Pensacola will host the 9th Annual Navy Federal 5K Run/Walk. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Achieve Escambia, a local collective impact effort focused on improving education outcomes and workforce readiness from cradle to career. This fun, family-friendly event is open to everyone.

Tickets purchased during the early registration period are just $18.00 for adults and $15.00 for youth age 5-13. A new edition to this year’s event is the free “Sammie Sprint” for children six and under. The sprint is a quarter mile run around Plaza Ferdinand. Registration is required for all participants.

Last year the race welcomed participants from across the country, including Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, California and Hawaii.

The early registration discount is available through March 2; however, registration will remain open until the start of the race.

This race is designed to be fun for runners and walkers of all ages and ability. After the race, there will be refreshments and entertainment. Navy Federal would like to recognize Cat Country 98.7 and NewsRadio 1620 for their continued support of this annual race.
