Army Adventure Semi

Are you Army Strong? Explore Army opportunities with the U.S. Army Mission Support Battalion at OWA in Foley, Alabama. The Army Adventure Semi, AS1 will be parked at OWA, Feb. 14-17 between 10am and 6pm. This is a free event that is open to the public.

AS1 is a 60-foot, 30-ton tractor/trailer with a self-contained simulation system. It possesses simulators such as the Oculus Rift Simulator, M9 Laser shot Simulator, and the Apache Flight Simulator. In addition, AS1 comes with two touch-screen computers complete with career navigation capabilities, Army leadership, educational videos, career opportunities and more.

Through AS1, students can share in varying Army adventures and experiences. Fly an Apache helicopter with “APACHE”, experience a jump with the Golden Knights and other Virtual Reality experiences with the “OCULUS”, or through viewing the Land Warrior Display.

Visitors can try their hand at a timed shooting event showcasing Army technologies from Army Marksmanship Trainers and Laser Technology. This is a socially-distanced event.
