Bethany Christian Services Domestic Infant Training for Adoptive Parents

This two-day training is designed to prepare families for the domestic infant adoption journey. Topics to be covered: Understanding Fees; How to fund your adoption; Grief and Loss in Adoption; The Birthparent Journey; Creating your family profile; Understanding your role with the birth family; Hospital Preparation; Developmental Stages in Bonding and Attachment; Prenatal Development: Effects of Drug and Alcohol Exposure; Service Plans and What to do while you are waiting; Post Placement Supervision and the Legal Process. You will get the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of the Bethany team as well as a medical professional, a legal professional, other adoptive families who have completed the process, and birth parents.
