Bushwacker

The Capt'n Fun Runners present the annual Capt'n Fun Bushwacker 5K Run on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 7:30 a.m. to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida. The race follows a 3.1 mile point-to-point course that begins in Gulf Breeze at the South Santa Rosa Recreation Center and finishes on Pensacola Beach at the Visitor Information Center. Free bus transportation from Pensacola Beach to the starting line will run from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. The post-race party will be held at Capt'n Fun Beach Club on the Portofino Boardwalk from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will include awards, food, live music and plenty of Bushwacker signature cocktails. The registration fee is $20 through Saturday, July 28, with late registration of $25 through Aug. 4th. Anyone who registers on race day will not receive a complimentary shirt. Packet pick-up and late registration will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 2 at Running Wild, 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3 at Capt'n Fun Beach Club Pensacola Beach, and from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Hooters/Bamboo Willie's Deck on Portofino Boardwalk.
