The Florida PTAC at UWF offers a workshop entitled ''DOL FLSAct'' on Tuesday, June 25, from 11: 00 am – 1:00 pm. The Wage Determination workshop instructs on proper classification and pay & fringe benefits for workers on both SCA and DBA (as well as the certified payroll for DBA only). It thoroughly goes over all online resources the USDOL makes available to the contractors so contractors will forever know where to go to get answers. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is an important component because the labor standards and rules for both SCA and DBA come directly from this Act. Throughout the sessions, the speaker will point out the most common errors and violations as well as show the attendees how to avoid them. No fee - please pre-register.
