Fiesta/McLaughlan Southeastern Model Airplane Championship

The 54th annual Fiesta of Five Flags McLaughlan Southeastern Model Airplane Championship at Navy Helicopter Field Site 8A on West Nine Mile Road near the Navy Federal Credit Union complex will be held on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The model airplane championship is divided into three basic categories; state of the art gas and rubber powered models competing for international recognition, gas and rubber powered balsa and tissue covered models (some of the designs of which go back to the 1930's), and gliders. The latter two categories of models are all built by their flyers and are competing for national recognition.
