Jackson's Steakhouse is proud to present beers from Cajun country - Bayou Teche Brewing, which is part of the Lewis Bear Company's portfolio of craft beers - for an evening of "Hops & Harvest." Reserve a table for Thursday, October 25, 5:30 p.m., and enjoy the handcrafted beer and food at Jackson's Steakhouse. The craft beer movement is a return to flavorful, authentic beer - and American brewers are leading the way. We are featuring four beers from Bayou Teche Brewing, which is located in the heart of Louisiana. Lindsey Engel, Craft Specialty Manager for the Lewis Bear Company (and home brewer herself), along with Derek Domingue, Byron Knott and Dorsey Knott of Bayou Teche Brewing, will be on hand to discuss the beers and how they are made. Bayou Teche Brewing was founded on this simple dream - to craft beers that complement the cuisine and lifestyle of Cajuns and Creoles. Located in the heart of Louisiana, the Bayou Teche is an area of land that stretches like a snake (Teche is the Chitimacha word for snake) for 125 miles. It is here that the Knott brothers - Brewmaster Karlos Knott, artist and production manager Byron Knott, and Dorsey Knott, marketing manager - brew their beers in their tiny, hand-built brewery, which resembles a traditional Acadian-style home.
