One of the world's most-performed operas, Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata tells the true story of a scandalous love affair between a famed Parisian courtesan and a naive nobleman. Tragic characters and powerfully moving melodies will break your heart as the ill-fated lovers are torn apart by societal pressures, misunderstanding, and ultimately death. Directed by Dean Anthony, Metropolitan Opera singers Elizabeth Caballero, Chad Shelton and Todd Thomas join the Pensacola Symphony, Pensacola Ballet and Pensacola Opera Chorus, conducted by Jerome Shannon.
