Live Well Northwest Florida Community Health Summit

In an effort to identify the scope of problems in terms of poor community health in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties - which directly relates to lost productivity, employee absenteeism and more - the Greater Pensacola Chamber has joined the Partnership for a Healthy Community to provide local-area employers with the resources and tools to develop successful worksite wellness programs.

The 2014 Community Health Summit, which will feature a presentation by the community
health and corporate wellness consultant for Community Health Improvement Partners, LLC, Ro Mohamed, will take place on Friday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Pensacola Grand Hotel, 200 E. Gregory St. The event will also feature additional wellness leaders and subject matter experts, as well as a toolkit to help local businesses improve employee wellness.

Formed in 1994, the Partnership for a Healthy Community is a Florida nonprofit with the mission of assessing health status, identifying priority health needs and supporting collaborative efforts to address those needs. The Partnership has sponsored several seminars and forums and has been instrumental in helping area health providers obtain grant funds for projects and initiatives that address health concerns within the community.
