On Air with Doc Severinsen

Heeeeere's Johnny! That lead-in, followed by a big band trumpet blast, was the landmark of late night television for three decades. The ‘Johnny' was Johnny Carson, the announcer was Ed McMahon and the band leader was Doc Severinsen. Join the Pensacola Civic Band on November 10th at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre, during the FooFoo Festival, as we welcome the legendary band leader and trumpeter, Doc Severinsen, to Pensacola!. The concert, ''On Air with Doc Severinsen,'' features some of the most beloved music from TV shows as well as some popular tunes performed by Doc Severinsen and the NBC Orchestra. Alongside the Gulf Coast's premiere community band, The Pensacola Civic Band, Doc Severinsen will perform classics such as Here's That Rainy Day and Night in Tunisia. Joining Doc Severinsen at the concert is trumpet professor at the University of Tennessee, Cathy Leach.
