RESTORE Nonprofit Workshop

In an effort to help engage and assist local nonprofits with the Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies (RESTORE) Act process, Escambia County will host a special workshop on Thursday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Gulf Power Company (500 Bayfront Pkwy).

Attendees at the workshop will learn more about the RESTORE process and how local nonprofits can develop ideas for sustainable, transformational change, in order to make a positive impact on the community. Dr. Rick Harper, director of the Office of Economic Development and Engagement at the University of West Florida, and Dr. Jane M. Caffrey, associate professor for the University of West Florida’s Center for Environmental Diagnostics and bioremediation, are scheduled to discuss key RESTORE topics including economic/workforce development, tourism and the environment.

Seating is limited, with only one attendee per organization permitted to attend. Registration is required, so click here to register before Friday, April 24.
