The Pensacola Museum of Art is happy to present "Sketches of Spain", an exhibition by local artist Nina Fritz. "Sketches of Spain" will be on display from February 27 – April 18. Fritz's exhibition is part of a local artist series that displays Pensacola artists in Gallery 5 of the Museum. In this exhibition Fritz leads viewers though her travels of Spain. The region is close to the artist's heart due to dear friend, and Honorary Consult to Spain, Maria Davis. The Spanish royal family received Fritz's portrait Las Infantas, of the young Spanish princesses, and the painting hangs in their Madrid palace. While Pensacola is the artist's home, her studies have taken her to various places across the United States and the globe including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Silvermine Art School in Connecticut, the Pennsylvania Academy of Art, Japan, France, Italy, and of course, Spain. Opening Reception: Friday, February 27, 5:30-7:00 p.m. The opening reception is free and open to the public.
