The Choral Society of Pensacola begins its 80th season with "Songs We've Loved to Sing," presented as part of Pensacola's second annual Foo Foo Festival. The concert will feature some of the group's favorite choral pieces, as well as performances by soprano Sheila Murphy Dunn and tenor Antonio Giuliano, all conducted by Xiaolun Chen. Works on the program range from classical masterpieces (among them, Bach's "Lobet den Herrn" and "Hallelujah" from Beethoven's "Christ on the Mount of Olives") to contemporary compositions (such as Eric Whiteacre's ''Water Night") to folk and patriotic songs (including "Shenandoah" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"). Pianist Ila Brown will accompany. Seats in the reserved section are $22; general admission is $18. Tickets are available at www.BrownPaperTickets.com and by calling 850-484-1806.
