Join us for our 4th Annual Toasts of the Coasts Food and Wine events at the Fish House! This series of wine dinners will feature master sommeliers and vintners showcasing stellar wines from around the world. Each event will highlight a selection of three wines paired with a four-course meal as presented by Chef Matthew Brown of the Fish House. In addition, each guest speaker will be bringing special bottles for door prizes and giveaways. According to Jean Pierre N'Dione, Fish House general manager, ''The wines we are featuring showcase the best in class, all the while highlighting special vineyards from around the world. These dinners present a wonderful opportunity for an up-close-and-personal wine education experience with some of the best!'' Thursday, September 24: Drew Flanigan featuring Folio Wines Flanigan's passion for wine began while he was an undergraduate at the University of Alabama. While waiting tables, he had a table order for a bottle of 1979 Chateau Margaux. Not only did they tip well, they left him half a glass of wine. He was hooked after that experience and that led him to a career in the wine industry. He has spent the last fifteen years as a student of wine and the wine industry — working for Morton's Steakhouse and Shula's on the Beach in Florida as well as at Grand Vin, a wine bar in Key West. For the past seven years, he has represented a number of wines including the diverse, world-class portfolio of Folio Fine Wines. Featured Menu Louisiana oyster, pickled butternut squash and pork belly crackling paired with Attems Cupra Ramato Pinot Grigio Venezia Giulia IGT, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy 2103 Skate Baccalà — a traditional Italian fish ''cake'' with fresh fish, potato, herbs and spices, served with celery leaf pesto and fired grapefruit paired with Coppo L'Avvocata, Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Italy 2012 Black pepper and thyme-roasted leg of lamb with candied tomatoes, oxtail ragout and kalamata dust paired with Le Volte dell'O
